A total of 722 opinion-leaders from 28 economies including all 21 APEC members responded to this year’s survey.

Economic Outlook
- 41% of respondents expect stronger growth for the global economy over the next 12 months
- 40% expect stronger growth for China over the next 12 months
- 38% expect stronger growth for the US over the next 12 months
Top 5 Risks to Growth
- Increased protectionism
- Lack of political leadership
- A slowdown in the Chinese economy
- Possible slowdown in world trade growth
- Failure to implement structural reforms
Top Priorities for APEC leaders
- Promoting sustainable, innovative and inclusive growth through the APEC growth strategy
- The emergence of anti-globalization & anti-trade sentiments
- Progress towards the Bogor Goals and the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP)
